Ben Peck, buccin, was director of the legendary New York Cornet & Sacbut Ensemble, a Renaissance brass ensemble that set the standard for historical brass performance during the 1970s and 1980s. Ben also served as a founding president of Early Music America and co-founder of the Early Brass Music Festival. His musical and organization work of the 1980s laid the foundations for the current success of Early Music America, the Historic Brass Society, and the Amherst Early Music Festival.
