Jay Krush


Jay Krush
, ophicleide, serpent Forveille, is a founding member of The Chestnut Brass and functions as principal researcher for that ensemble's many historical recording projects. The Chestnut Brass, one of the oldest continuously operating brass quintets in the country, has released 10 CDs in a wide variety of styles and genres. Jay received a Grammy Award for Best Classical Crossover Album for the Chestnut Brass Company's album Hornsmoke: A Horse Opera with composer Peter Schickele. Jay also serves as Lecturer at Temple University and tubist with the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra.
